Persbyheden 14, Sysslebäck, asking price €205,000 (SEK 2,295,000)

Living area 100 sq m, plot 733 sq m

Enjoy the bustle of the ski circus from a comfortable distance, just as much as the stillness of glorious summer days in the Klarälven valley.

On the quiet side of the valley, directly opposite the Branäs ski area, stands this holiday home from 2011 on a sunny hillside.

The view runs west over wooded hills to the slopes of Branäsberget — green nature in summer, a white adventure in winter..

Five minutes by car or, even better, on foot to the slope.

The house welcomes you generously with a bright hallway where the wooden staircase to the upper floor begins.

The allrum (open family living room) is the heart of the house: open to the ridge, with large windows to the west and a warming soapstone stove. From here you step straight out onto the veranda.

The kitchen opens onto the allrum. Bright and well equipped, with a cosy dining area by the window, it is where the day begins with making plans.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a double bed, one with a bunk bed.

The shower room and a separate WC with washing machine are also on the ground floor.

A sauna is included — just the thing after a day in the snow.

Upstairs there is a second allrum with a view over the valley, plus a quiet reading nook under the sloping roof.

There are also two further bedrooms with one bed each. Four bedrooms in total offer room for the whole family or a group of friends.

The large covered veranda facing west is the favourite spot on summer evenings.

In winter the location shows its most beautiful side.

The location

Northern Värmland

Sysslebäck, with a shop and petrol station, is close by, and you can reach the Branäs ski area in five minutes by car; a ski bus runs. The access road to the house is cleared all year round.

Torsby, with a wider range of shops, is 69 km away, about an hour's drive.

Northern Värmland is a dream for individualists. The landscape is shaped by the majestic Klarälven, which carries meltwater from the Norwegian and Swedish mountain regions south to Lake Vänern. Swimming here is pure refreshment, and there are endless forest lakes waiting to be discovered. Everywhere you can fish, row, pick mushrooms and berries, or meet the wildlife of the north.

Karlstad about 2 hours, Oslo airport about 2 hours 45 minutes.
