In absolutely top condition, the property, completely modernised in recent years, presents itself on its extensive plot flanked by patches of forest.

Rural charm meets modern comfort in the best possible way.

A lovely hallway with dark stone floors provides the right setting for welcoming guests.

The natural centre of the house is the kitchen with its sociable dining area. Top-quality built-in appliances and an induction hob integrated into the kitchen island are complemented by the classic pantry, which is fitted with fridge and freezer units.

Among the useful details is a utility room with its own access. Here are a washing machine and dryer plus plenty of shelves and cupboards for clothes and shoes, which relieve the hallway.

The living area with wood-burning stove extends through double-leaf doors to the veranda. The whole area is laid with parquet flooring.

One bedroom is on the ground floor.

A tiled ground-floor bathroom with shower is complemented by a generous bathroom with bathtub on the top floor.

Upstairs you come into a landing whose dimensions make it well suited as a second living room or library. All rooms throughout are laid with parquet, except the tiled bathroom.

Two rooms with flexible use (office etc.) are usable on the top floor. A walk-in wardrobe is accessible from one of the rooms.

Air-source heat pumps support the geothermal heating and ensure a good climate all year round, even when you are away.

The windows are double- and triple-glazed.

The location

The central Fryken valley (Frykental)

Vitteby is a few kilometres south of Sunne on Lake Fryken. Meadows and forests shape the sparsely populated region, which has some lovely bathing spots on Lake Fryken.

Set in the legendary landscape of Nils Holgersson, the blue ribbon of Lake Fryken stretches for about 80 kilometres.

For shopping, the pretty small town of Sunne is a quarter of an hour away. Here you will find both large supermarkets and small specialist shops and boutiques. Daily flights are offered from Torsby to Stockholm. Other airports are in Karlstad and Oslo, with various flight connections to Germany.

Sweden's most beautiful railway line connects Sunne with Värmland's capital Karlstad and Torsby to the north.

This region of Värmland is a year-round draw for holidaymakers, with excellent winter sports and, in summer, a wealth of opportunities for nature lovers. Not least, the Sunne area is popular for discovering its historical background and cultural highlights. You can follow in the footsteps of Nobel Prize-winning author Selma Lagerlöf and discover the original settings of her famous novels. There are museums that bring the area's old Finnish culture to life. You can look over the shoulders of artists and craftspeople at their workplaces.
